EAPN Ireland has made its submission to the Irish NRP for 2016. The NRP will be submitted to the European Commission in April outlining how Ireland is meeting its Europe 2020 targets, including the poverty target, and implementing the Country Specific Recommendations it received from the Commission last May as part of the wider annual European Semester process. EAPN Ireland has highlighted the crisis levels of poverty in Ireland, including by those in homelessness and repeated its call for an all of Government anti-poverty strategy to address it. The submission addresses issues in relation to employment, education and poverty and social exclusion including issues related to income and access to services. Read the full submission.
